Meet and Greets?

Are meet and greets a good idea? Of course, if you ever get the chance you should grab it but I've been to a few. At The first one, LP's plane came in late so the meet and greet wasn't very "alive" and the band, disrespected for something they can't control.
They're almost blinded by flashing lights which are banned now. I will say, the most real person I met was Pheonix and/or Mike.

Meet and Greet facts:
-they last about a minute
-you can never be sure what kind of mood the band is in
-the band didn't plan the meet and greet, the label did
-sometimes they feel bad, like anyone else and don't want to participate

I experienced different with MCR. They stop to talk to you, so fans don't have that "I feel like crap" look on their face...which i understand.

Only thing, stay away from MCRmy...those fans scare me.
Bands I've met that are down to earth amazing: Ashes Divide, MCR, Atreyu, Papa Roach, Chad Kroger, Julien K, Amir from Julien K (about 3 times).
All of the bands on Lollapolooza or Bamboozle are pretty down. I've heard awesome things about Paramore.

What NOT to do when meeting your band:

-NO long nails (Mike got cut by some girls fake nails so keep them short)and wash your hands if you can
-NO hoochie looking outfits. Security has seen it all before and will kick you out for dramaqueen behavior.
-Don't flash them, use flash on the cam, touch them without asking (shaking hands, hug etc), don't be greedy, be thankful they're taking time to do this.
